You may not be familiar with your AC drain, simply because you don’t know where it is located. The drain pan is located just under the water coil. This can usually be seen when the air filter is removed, in the lower section of the cabinet.

A drain pan or line that isn’t sloped correctly could cause this, and then could cause clogs. This causes the drain pan to overflow. This could lead to floods, corrosion, efficiency issues, and more.
A quick tip for homeowners is to run white vinegar through the outside drain lines if there is excessive mold growth. However, not everyone may be able to access their condensate drain pan properly.
