This week begins a new monthly blog where we feature a Quigley employee so that you can get to know the amazing people behind the 5-star service. For our first feature, we have a native Texan who loves his job, his sports and has a strong opinion on the “horns up vs. horns down” rivalry.
James was born and raised here in Texas but that doesn’t make him an automatic Cowboys fan. He loves sports in general but he is a “proud and rambunctious” Philadelphia Eagles fan. We asked James to answer a few questions so that we could get to know him, and his background a little better. As a true courteous Texan, he obliged.
What inspired you to pursue a career in HVAC?
“I worked for UPS for a long time and saw the HVAC industry as a natural transition with great opportunities. I was correct in my assertion, and the transition has been seamless. Multitasking, having poise under pressure, inside and outside customer service, being organized and building processes are all important parts of each day in the world of HVAC.”
What do you think sets Quigley apart from others in the industry?
“Quigley has a STRONG foundation of experience. 75+ years of tried-and-true methods would help any company stand out from the rest. Our technicians are vetted and well trained. Our customer service team is top notch. The company culture is excellent, and that all starts at the top with Brandon Quigley. He and has family have built something special in Quigley Heating and Air.”
What are some of your hobbies or interests?
“I love sports and I always have. I like to have a working knowledge of all sports, but my favorites are football, baseball, and soccer. The camaraderie, competition, and the blend of pure talent and dedication is a joy to watch. The ability for sports to bring people of all races, ages, and creeds together in unison is unique and welcomed in a world that often lacks it.”
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
“Italy immediately comes to mind. Ride the train, go to the beach and frolic in the crystal-clear sea, experience the history and culture, and enjoy the flawless cuisine. Italy has it all, and I will be going soon enough.”
Horns up or horns down?
“This question is obvious and simple with only one correct answer. Horns down is pure blasphemy within Texas state lines with a penalty of up to, but not exceeding, death.”
We are so happy to have James as a part of our team. He is always dependable and professional with a great attitude. We want to thank him for his hard work and for choosing to be a part of the Quigley family.
Watch for our next employee spotlight coming in April!
