What’s an HVAC Emergency

Even when things seem to be spiraling out of control, we tend to ask ourselves to handle things on our own. However, an HVAC emergency shouldn’t be one of those times. But what constitutes an HVAC emergency? Here are a few situations you need to call the experts for as soon as possible.

Your HVAC Won’t Function

One of the first things you should check when suspecting a malfunctioning HVAC, is your circuit breaker and thermostat. If they are both in working order but your HVAC isn’t, call the professionals. Summer conditions aren’t pleasant without a working AC. Even if you think it can wait, HVAC businesses may be booked out weeks in advance. Call as soon as you can to avoid excessive waiting times.

Your HVAC is Causing Water Damage

Water damage can be extensive, expensive, and difficult to resolve. Not only does it cause devastating damage to a home but can also damage your HVAC if neglected. A clogged condensate drain and ice on coils can both be a cause of water damage, so be sure to address them promptly.

Your HVAC is having Electrical Problems

Electrical issues triggered by an HVAC system such as a tripping breaker or burning smell should be attended to immediately. Because these issues can have serious ramifications, no one less than an expert should handle it.

If you find yourself in the middle of an HVAC emergency, Quigley has your back. After hours? Go ahead and call us at 972-441-7068. We’ll help resolve the issue as soon as we can.
