blown ac fuse
The reason for blown fuses differs, but the result will always be a lack of cool air. Don’t let electrical issues intimidate you. If you suspect that your ac may be suffering from a blown fuse, the experts are here to help. Some of the most common causes of a blown fuse include:

A dirty filter- Maintaining your filter is essential in keeping many components of your AC running properly. A neglected filter causes your AC to overwork, and then possibly blow a fuse.

Low refrigerant- Low refrigerant levels have a similar effect to improper filter maintenance. It causes your AC to work harder than necessary.

A malfunctioning capacitor- An AC capacitor is responsible for regulating electrical flow. If this is awry then a blown fuse is very probable.

To prevent blown fuses there are routine maintenance tasks you can complete. Cleaning your air filter and outdoor unit are simple preventative measures. Don’t forget that even with regular cleaning, filters still require replacement. If your air conditioner is blowing fuses often then it’s time to contact the experts.
